Who am I?

Some communities who helped shape me:

We are all reflections of our surroundings. I reflect my childhood synagogue in my care for the earth. I reflect my work as a Jewish outdoor educator in how pray. I reflect Hebrew Union College, which taught me how to be a spiritual leader. I reflect the SF Night Ministry in the way I learned how to care for others.

My musical journey:

I found my two main musical mediums in high school; percussion and voice. I have been doing both for over 15 years and picked up guitar along the way. With singing, I studied classical music in undergrad and have floated between classical and contemporary-style singing since then. With percussion, I focused in on the darbuke and the hammered dulcimer since Covid began. The hammered dulcimer, in particular, has embodied my American and Jewish roots in one beautiful instrument - an instrument I would love to share with you.

My joys in life:

I love getting a little bit lost on a hiking trail, making challah, and making music. I love seeing live art and tasting new (pescatarian) food. I love studying Jewish, and non-Jewish, texts. I love my parents, Russ and Loree. I love my siblings, Jesse and Chayva. I love our dog, Mika.
